almost the same , in teory only change de cilinder , but casal was use by a severel brands , anda some brands have diferente specs , like the ratio of gear box , clucht , water pump ratios , its like lego , they built the engine with the specs they want because all the pieces can work togeder.
i have 3 gear ratios of cluth
3 ratios of gear box
3 ratios of water pump
2 crankshaft 40mm and 48mm ( and i now they have 46mm in huvo)
several cylinders with diferente desing inside and out side from factory.
casal was a big fabric in portugal , but small in the europe , and they cange specs 2 o 3 ou 4 times in a year , and thy had a problem with hrd , they build a lot of red m117 e m118 engines, and some one broke the contrat , and they had to respray the engines to black again and sel them in portugal , lot of brands in portugal built the motorycles and use casal engine , casal engine with 6 gears , like a japonese its a litle samll part of the marced in portugal , casal with 2 gear and 4 gear and 5gears lik sachs and zundapp its the most usal
its the 50cc , with 40x40mm, but for this model we stil have almost everything , and with the huvo 48piston , or the brand new italkit , polini or malossi in 54 and 55 or 57 , it becames strong , and crankshaft its calibrate for 12500rpm , and the m117 or m118 its not calibrate for so hig rpm, so the broke more , thats way hrd , and other brands start only to buy minarelli mr80
in out side look , the m105 are the same of the m117 , only the cylinder is taller almost 1cm , the m112 are the some looking , but have de kickstart in the lef side, but inside its the same of al 3 models , and you can change the gear box , and other internal pieces in the 3 models too

i have a some m117 and m118 , they are he best , but the m105 are now better to pull more horse power, with much more material to rebuild, they are expensive and not easy to fin in portugal , and they are made in portugal..
Yes, there was the M117 with a Bing 21 carburator , the tame version with 10 HP and the M118 with the HuVo Cylinder , 28 or 30 mm Del'Orto and up to 21 HP. Both engines are hard to find in Germany. Of course, the M118 more difficult than the M117.
A friends bike with the M118 with a Huvo cylinder:
