Hello,
I want to show some pictures (when I find some) and talk a little bit about
the RX 250´s. In Germany they will be very rare, so
I know there will be just 5 Bikes sold from the 1983-model!!!
Who knows how much it will be in France?
I bought my bike as new in 1986, a local dealer has it in his
showroom for more than 2 years, and I am very proud in this time about
my new bike!
This is now a picture from holiday in Italy, Lago di Lecco, I think it would be
in spring 1987 (inspired by a picture in Germany´s "Motorrad", they made
it in the same place but with another bike):

It's The LAGO Of COMO ou Lac de Côme ARMIN!
I think they are also rare in France , but it was sold more than 5 models here for sure. They are difficult to find in good condition because a lot of them were used as modern enduro bikes without maintenance....

You are right! It´s a long time ago, and I do not remember
to anything...
For this pictures I do just remember that they might be
from the Lago di Garda and to this time (in 1988 or ´89)
it was possible to ride there in the mountains around and on
the legendary Passo di TREMALZO! Today this is not more allowed, but
it was a very great fun in the mountains around the Lago!

This will be pictures from the beautiful Motocross-track
in Mothern (France) near the border to Germany (Karlsruhe)
I ride the Aprilia there for two times in 1988, and this will
be the only rides on a real MX-track...
The last picture is from 2005 (not with the Aprilia!!), but it´s
again in Mothern, and you can see that the trees are growing
(and the jumps also)

Nice pictures Armin, riding sensations are so different? because of the weight or the supension? the APRILIA is quite a modern bike ( APS+ROTAX Water Cooled, disk brake)...

There are three main differences to my modern bike:
1. The seat is too short and the tank too high, so it is not really possible
to put the weight up to the front end. So this is not so good for high
speed in the corners.
2. The clutch feels very different to my KTM-hydraulic clutch system,
I have to use all four fingers to use the Aprilia-clutch.
3. The rear drum brake is way different to a disc brake. First I thougt
I got no rear brake, after a little bit riding I feel a little braking effect.
But no way for brake-sliding into corners or something...
In the picture you can see that I really want to use the brake

Today I will make a clutch modification because it is too hard
to pull the clutch lever....
Now I got the last evolution from Rotax to the clutch system.
I hope it will have some positive effect
First the old clutch plate:
Then the old and the new side by side:
Here the clutch balls and lever:
Last test if anything will fit before remount:

I think it should work. I tought that you already got it, with the 250 Water Cooled engine. It was maybe a upgrade on the 84 models..
Test it and give us some news Armin!
