you have cut the final hydraulic piston
No, just the spacer between shims and the piston.

The original shocks were Marzochis and not very good ones.

I have done some testing, they work very good.

marquet a écrit :Yes,it's a nice work, and a good change for your rear shocks,I put ohlins on all my bikes, they are reliable, very performant, the particularity of Olhins shocks,is the very good traction in all condition, the Corte Cosso rear shocks are good too,but the original oil fitted is shit :D,if you could rebuid your original rear schocks, fitted it,with Ohlins piston, and Ohlins oil...and after you have nice original rear shocks, with Olhins performance :clin:
Hi marquet,
Do you know who can do that upgrade to the Corte Cosso shocks ?

Rebuild shocks
Image

The red shocks came on the SWM.

Here they are with the ITC springs.
Image

The ITC springs were too soft so I put a set of duel rate springs.

Even cut down by 20mm the hydraulic bump stop works and they have made the SWM even better to ride.

I have made a set of Ohlins ITC HVA shocks fit my SWM.
The SWM needs 420mm shocks. This is a standard ITC shock.
Image

These are 420mm Ohlins, just right for the SWM
Image

On the ITCs I have cut down the body, shaft and hyd bump cup by 20mm. I have also removed a spacer and changed the bottom eye.
Image

This brought the length back to 420mm.
