I think you should turn around the bike-stand (on your picture)
and fill it with some bottles of beer. This is for my opinion enough
to change against the bike
Good luck
And please show pictures about the reanimation of this SWM!

It will stay a 175. It is good fun to ride even better when you beat 250s
I have put a bid on a RS GS 175. If the motor is no good I will look at buying a 125 motor for it.
It is rough and ugly but it is an SWM and there hard to get.

No the 125 is a very good bike, but the 175 seems to be more easy! A SWM 125 is more fun than a HVA 250 even if it's a very good bike.

The club MX races I do are 125,250,open so with the 175 I have to go in the 250 class.
I am thinking of buying a 1980 HVA WR250.
A 125 does not sound like a good idea :/
I have not had a ride on a 125 Is the 175 motor that much better?

Hi Noel
I dont think it is that simple. They use the same rods, but the crank pin position is different on 125/175....which alters the stroke from 54 to 57.5.
The pipes/silencers although slightly different can be interchanged.
Having got a 125 TF3, I dont know why you would want to convert your 175...its a much better motor.
Hope this helps

I am thinking of changing my 175 TF3 to a 125. Will the 125 barrel and piston fit on to a 175 bottom end? Is the pipe the same?
Cheers
